We smuggled out some apples and pastries so we’d have some snacks for the bike tour and then headed to the theatre meeting point. Didn’t have long to wait and the tour guides were waiting at the port with the bikes.

We set off and the route wasn’t too bad, a fairly long and steady but decent incline of a hill near the start which was hard work in the heat. While we were at the top admiring the view a man on the trip passed out, Steve along with a couple of others went to help him and the guides called him an ambulance.

One guide stayed with him to wait for the ambulance and the rest of us carried on. We went round the town a little more then down a slightly steep, rocky path to a beautiful coastal path (another guy in the group wiped futon the rocky path but apart from quite a few grazes he was fine, thankfully no second ambulance required!

Lovely ride along the coast, Steve managed to spot the topless sunbathers and the ladies in thongs while Vikki enjoyed the sea views! Then it was onto some roads, Steve was trying to help round up the stragglers but they fell so far behind they took a wrong turn at a roundabout and we lost them! Quick call and we were back on track and headed back to the ship, the return route wasn’t so scenic and involved dual carriageway roads and a few very big and busy roundabouts!

We arrived back at the ship and were welcomed by staff with iced water and iced wet face towels – sooooo refreshing after a 20km cycle in the heat!

Back to the room for a cold shower then off for lunch (doughnuts and cakes galore!). After lunch Steve chilled out in the room doing some video editing from the bike ride while Vikki chilled out by the pool with a cocktail and kindle (and maybe some ice cream and sorbet too!) Steve came to join the fun and we tried out the floating sun loungers, one of us a smidge more graceful on them than the other…

The evening started with bubbles and cocktails on the Edge bar, Steve tried to drink his cocktail through a stick much to Vikki’s entertainment! We then had a lovely meal at Cosmopolitan where Vikki ordered smoked duck (instead of smoked duck) much to Steve’s amusement.

After dinner we went for a walk around the top deck ad saw the most spectacular sunset before watching the Kaleidoscope show (well Vikki watched it and Steve snoozed through it) before ending the night with a drink on the balcony in our cruise robes watching the stars.
