Oxford (and briefly Birmingham)

An early start and we headed to Birmingham to The Motorhome and Caravan Show at the NEC Birmingham for a nosy around potential ideas for travelling in years to come. Loads and loads of different styles of motorhomes and caravans or varying sizes and costs – definitely not ruling out the possibility in the future but probably not going to aim for the ยฃ500,000 ones!!

We headed to Oxford for the night and found the hotel where we were peasantry surprised to have been upgraded to an executive room. Although that said with the mouldy bath and broken towel rail not sure what the original room would have been like and of course it came with the standard car park view! It did have a very appropriate iPod stand as well…

We headed into the city centre on some scooters and quickly regretted it due to the ridiculous lack of scooter parking spots and Voi having the worst app user interface ever! We booked dinner at a very unique little steak place, where Vikki had the most salty steak ever, followed by the most unseasoned steak, Steve had an enormous dessert instead of a taster one and it’s never bee to difficult to pay for a meal!

We ended the night with a few drinks at Brewdog while having lots of fun playing Colour Brain. Fairly early morning with a hurried breakfast as we nearly missed it and due to torrential rain decided to just head home.
