Today’s excursion wasn’t until lunchtime so no alarm set, to enjoy our last opportunity to lie in. When we woke Steve went and got coffee and pastries for breakfast on the balcony, not an idilic view in this port – of the bus park!
After a lazy start we got ready to go, headed to the Char Grill for a burger / hotdog / chips early lunch before heading out. A short walk from the ship and we were kitted up with (rather tight) wetsuits and flippers and headed off on a speedboat. A very bumpy ride and we then got an hour snorkelling. We were in location plan B as the regular spot was over run with jelly fish. The water was crystal clear but there weren’t a huge amount of fish to be seen.
After an hour or so we headed back a different route on the boat to try and spot some dolphins but unfortunately there were none to be seen.
Back onto the ship for coffee and cake (and another burger for Vikki!) before spending a few hours chilling out in and by the pool with cocktails. Lovely dinner at the Tuscan restaurant, although Steve was a bit beaten by pudding!
The show didn’t sound appealing so instead we decided to attempt the pub quiz at the The Club, we only went and won it …with minimal cheating! And who knew there are over 125,000 post offices in India, well Steve did and we walked away with a bottle of Prosecco!
We ended the night with a lovely bubbly hot tub all to ourselves and an early night to be ready for an early start for Pisa.
