Lockdown finally eases
Friday 3rd July – Sunday 5th July 2020
After the longest and most boring 4 months thanks to Coronavirus COVID-19 the UK lockdown finally began easing. Friday night was spent very pleasantly having a socially distant catch up with Debs and Matt, however due to the pouring rain we couldn’t do it outside so bent the rule slightly catching up in the conservatory.
Nice to be out and see real people, nothing eventful happened and there was no falling off scooters in the early hours of the morning…
Saturday 4th July
*******PUBS REOPENED*******
Due to Vikki being so good with statistics we made the wise decision to enjoy our first pub trip in 4.5 months from an outside table. It was all good because there was a large Fever Tree umbrella to keep us dry!
Pink grapefruit gin, beer, burgers and free sticky toffee pudding (with added plastic) made for a very successful return to the pub.
Sunday 5th July
National Trust reopened with advanced booking, Steve stayed up till after midnight to get a slot so we could enjoy a lovely walk around The Vyne. Our first trip out anywhere since mid march!! Quiet, socially distanced, warm, sunny and completed with an ice cream.
