Britain’s Got Talent
Saturday 18th January 2020
Unsure of whether we’d actually make it into the audience, we headed into London to see if we could swap our e-ticket for a real one.
Organised chaos is putting it politely, no arrival time was actually given and we were told the tickets were handed out on a first come first serve basis. We arrived to be told to go away and come back in an hour so we got a Five Guys takeaway and joined the masses who also ignored the request to go away and come back!
After nearly being run over by a TXMaxx lorry, being shouted at by many people and loitering in a side street we eventually got our wristband and ticket.
After a potter around London we went back, got our seats (in the Grand circle) and waited for the show to begin…the evening consisted of a keyboard playing dinosaur, a terrible impressionist, a couple of singers, a creepy dance group and some rubbish comedians.
The highlight was most definitely the guy singing to his girlfriend about loving her on Sunday, it was so bad it was good. Lots of singing and dancing in the audience – definitely one that will make the tv as David serenaded Simon (hopefully our dancing in the audience won’t make the cut!)
A great fun day, if not a little long, getting home at 2.45am! Oh and the X buzzers are ridiculously loud meaning Vikki nearly had a heart attack every time one went off and Steve decided it was appropriate to wee in the sink in the Brewdog toilets!!!!!
