Goodwood Festival of Speed

Sunday 14th July 2025
Alarms rudely dragged us out of bed at 6:15am. Quick coffee and we were off to Goodwood. All was going smoothly until one genius decided to drive straight over a barrier. Yes, over.
First stop? Ice cream. Because who says breakfast has to be boring. Revving engines provided the soundtrack as we wandered through the growing crowd – so much noise, so early.
Navigating the boardwalks was a full-body experience – slippy, muddy chaos. Zero grace, but no wipeouts (just). We made it across in one piece and found ourselves at a crossing point right next to the track. Perfect spot to see the cars fly past, all roar and blur.
After that, it was up the hill – a proper climb through the crowd, dodging elbows and trying to find a decent view. In the end, we found the ultimate hack: standing on tables. Not classy, but highly effective. Totally worth it to see the F1 cars up close and personal, engines screaming, people cheering, the smell of fuel in the air.
A muddy, noisy, ice cream-fuelled day out – chaotic in all the best ways.
