Harry Hill

16th April 2025 (Guildford)
Very very very last minute tickets meant with less than 2 days notice we abandoned all four kids and went off to see Harry Hill. Vikki wasn’t too enthused but Steve was really looking forward to it.
Absolutely! Here’s a fun and cheeky write-up of your night at Harry Hill’s show in Guildford, in your usual blog style and tone:
Harry Hill – Guildford Giggles and Glorious Nonsense
We headed to Guildford for a night of pure silliness and belly laughs with the one and only Harry Hill – and wow, he absolutely delivered!
The show kicked off with a bang, and we were straight into Harry’s weird world. There was a loose storyline about his nan’s funeral… but blink and suddenly we were deep in a surreal tangent about “bags for life,” a puppet bird, a wind machine to the face, and a physical feat involving an ironing board that definitely wasn’t in the health and safety manual.
It was chaos – the best kind of chaos.
Classic characters made their grand return – yes, Stouffer the Cat made an appearance (still sassy), and there may have been a badger or two thrown into the madness. One segment had the whole audience involved in a ‘Wheel of Jokes’ moment, with Harry picking on the audience just enough to feel special, but not enough to want to hide behind our seats. Steve secretly wishing we were first row, Vikki glad we weren’t!
From balancing acts to blasts of nostalgia and plenty of “what just happened?” moments, Harry proved he’s still the king of surreal comedy – part stand-up, part pantomime, part fever dream.
And yes, there were jokes about prostates, bumholes, and SCART leads. Classic Hill. And then… the sausage. Oh yes. The HUGE inflatable sausage that floated around the theatre at the end, cue everyone waving it along like it was a prized family heirloom. Hilarious!
Perfect way to round off a hilariously bonkers night – after the sausage-fuelled finale, we grabbed a programme (obviously), waited for a short while, and then the man himself appeared!
Harry was friendly, funny, and just the right amount of mad. He signed our programme, posed for a photo and we headed home with sore cheeks from laughing.
Ah yes – how could we forget that moment…
Not long before the lights dimmed and Harry took to the stage after the interval, Vikki’s glass of red wine made a dramatic break for freedom… straight down the back of the unfortunate lady sat in front. Cue instant horror, hushed apologies, and frantic napkin dabbing. Vikki felt absolutely awful, and while the lady was incredibly polite about it, her clenched jaw and rigid posture said it all – she was definitely not amused.
An unforgettable evening of nonsense, nostalgia and non-stop laughs – with a signed souvenir to prove we didn’t dream the whole thing. Absolutely bonkers but brilliant.
