Afternoon tea at Tylney Hall

A trip to the very posh Tylney Hall Hotel for afternoon tea curtesy of Steve’s parents.

Apart from having coffee instead of tea, no butter and cheese in the sandwiches and raspberry jam instead of strawberry and the inside of the Cafetière falling out meaning the coffee wouldn’t pour we were the perfect unfussy customers…

With the exception of the waiter Steve was the only man in the room among many groups of ladies enjoying traditional or champagne afternoon tea. Although quite why the ladies next to us had the champagne one was a mystery as they drank the tea, ate the sandwiches, scones and cakes and left the champagne!

Beautiful weather, gorgeous surroundings and the company wasn’t too bad!
